Team notes: Previously known as the Basildon Braves. It was mooted that Basildon was going to be the site of a multi million pound indoor sports arena, the playing surface was to be "Astroturf" and it was commonly known as the Basildon Astrodome. The team saw a chance to ride on the back of the publicity so became the Astros, they also used that name in the Passball league.
